A unique feature of Tregren’s kitchen gardens is that you can grow your plants in your own pots, grow plants from seeds in our seed pods, or put pre-grown herb and lettuce pots to grow in it. You can do all of these at the same time, regardless of the stage of growth of each.
The smart kitchen gardens work immediately after taken into use for herbs and lettuce, with the light on continuously and the pump pumping every 45 minutes for 10 seconds.
The Active Growing Technology™ is based on hydroponic cultivation where plants are grown in a soilless aquatic-based environment, where nutrients are distributed via water by a pump. On the contrary, in basic passive growing methods, water and nutrients are distributed through capillary action.
